Many riders are unaware of the hidden gem that is Interlake SRA in Southwestern Indiana. Interlake is 3,500+ acres of state-owned reclaimed coal mine ground, which has been developed for off-road enjoyment, including 31 miles of some of the best Single Track in the Midwest. Hats off to the crew who develops, maintains, and controls the Interlake Single Track. They do a great job of keeping the trails clean and clear, and controlling access so it remains true single track. Seriously, some of the best riding available in the Eastern U.S.

While Interlake is geared toward off road riding and driving, it also has designated foot traffic-only areas, hunting only areas, picnic areas, overlooks, sitting benches, pit toilets, 17 lakes – most of which can be fished from, and a shelter house that can be rented for gatherings. You can bring the whole family for a weekend of riding, and everyone should be able to find an outodoor activity they can enjoy.

BAT Tracks has mapped out 2 loops at Interlake. A 3 mile easy / beginner loop surrounding the south parking lot can be enjoyed by beginners and advanced riders alike, while a larger 31 mile loop navigating the entire property will provide more challenges for advanced riders. Yeah that’s right – 31 full miles of Single Track Glory! From prairie, to woods, fast & flowy to slow & technical, big hills, swampy sections, rocky sections, and even a rock garden if you have a trials bike – Interlake truly does have it all.
